Accessibility Statement

Last updated: September 14, 2026

Our commitment

Grit Co wants this website to work for everyone, including people who use a screen reader, navigate by keyboard, or need larger text or more contrast. We build this site toward the WCAG 2.1 Level AA standard.

What we have done

  • A "skip to content" link at the top of every page for keyboard users.
  • A visible page language on every page, so screen readers pronounce English and Spanish correctly.
  • One clear heading per page and labels tied to every form field.
  • Descriptive text on images, and icon-only buttons that have a name a screen reader can announce.
  • A visible focus outline on links, buttons, and form fields for people navigating by keyboard.

One known limitation

The star icons we use to show our Google rating are a shade of gold that measures under our contrast target against a white background. The rating itself is always available in text through the label a screen reader announces, so the information is not lost, but the graphic itself is harder to see for some low-vision users. We are looking at ways to darken it without changing our brand color.

This is not a certification

We are describing a good-faith effort, not claiming this site is fully accessible or free of every barrier. Accessibility needs vary, and something on this site may not work the way you expect.

Let us know

If you run into a barrier using this site, contact Grit Co at info@gritcotc.com or (509) 302-3013. Tell us the page and what happened, and we will work to fix it.
